Kathleen Rambo Artist Statement

“In art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson

My palette comes from my Southern heritage, my love of nature and my positive outlook on life.  I need beauty around me for inspiration so that is what I create in my home, garden and creations.  I have a passion for flowers and nature connects me to my inner soul and spirituality.  My parents and paternal Grandmother always gardened, my other grandmother arranged flowers which also comes very naturally to me.  Our family plant nursery business continued to grow my love for mixing textures, shapes, colors and balance in my container gardening and garden layout.  Design is a large part of my life and I am thankful for this wonderful divine gift.

I am exploring new mediums and pleased with the results. One wonderful gift to my small home renovation near the Marietta square, is a separate studio gallery which is a haven.  It’s also a place where clients, friends and family can come see art up close and buy directly. As one visits through the years they can enjoy watching me transform my gardens for future inspiration.  Possibly some fairy sightings along the way.

Art is a journey and I try to incorporate many aspects of my life to the process.  My love for ballet and dancing still continues and I have found I can place movement and rhythm in the paintings to give them a uniqueness of many art forms.  I love educating anyone about their birth flower and I sell originals as well as printed cards with the meaning inscribed inside.  They can be easily framed to enjoy as well. I enjoy seeing what captures someone’s eye through the seasons of life and hope to inspire others.  Please let me know when you would like to visit.

Kathleen Rambo Biography

Kathleen was born 4th generation in Marietta, Georgia. She shares her strengths with three lovely daughters and families, a wonderful circle of friends, extended family and a strong community.  She feels she has come to learn that just like life’s journey each brush stroke counts on the canvas. Having the opportunity to keep aesthetically expanding on her art major in college is an inner joy that she is most thankful. Art being a process through time gives an appreciation for her continued teachings in Charleston and Atlanta. There is a reason for everything and she simply chooses to embrace this world with good intuition while standing in natures majestic beauty taking a pause, noticing her surroundings and being aware of what this can bring.
